ACR Accreditation: Achieving the Gold Standard
At Open Imaging, we go the extra mile to ensure the highest level of image quality and patient safety. These values have enabled us to meet, and exceed, the stringent requirements needed to achieve the American College of Radiology's Gold Standard of Accreditation, first achieved in 1999. In order to meet these strict requirements, we had to undergo a rigorous review process and meet specific qualifications — all overseen by Board Certified, expert radiologists — including:
- Voluntary facility review processes to ensure compliance with nationally-accepted standards of care.
- Assurances that our personnel have educational and certification qualifications to perform medical imaging and interpret images.
- Inspection that our equipment is appropriate for applicable tests or treatments and that the facilities meet or exceed quality assurances and safety guidelines.
And, to top it all off, we go even further by requiring every King's Medical Group technologist to gain additional certification in MRI with the American College of Radiology.
