Preparing for Your Exam.
In most cases, there is very little preparation needed for your exam. If you want, you may complete your registration forms (including the Patient Information Form and Patient History Form) before your appointment and bring them with you. If you're getting an MRI, be sure to call in advance if you:
- Have worked with metal or had an eye injury involving metal
- Have a pacemaker, brain aneurysm clip, cardiac stent, metal fragment, defibrillator, or other implants
- Are claustrophobic
- Are or may be pregnant
